Enoch Mukiibi

Centennial Art Tribute

Born into a house of art but temporarily delayed by circumstance, Enoch Mukiibi pursued his dream and has painted full-time since 2003. His semi-abstract canvases capture the rhythms of rural African life — mothers, children, market scenes — rendered in oils, acrylics, and watercolours. He lays paint with brushes, palette knives, and fingers to build thick, energetic layers that pulse with presence. Exhibited across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the USA, Mukiibi translates memory and communal life into a vivid, universal visual language.

Abazaana

Within the Kiganda culture, all women are said to belong to the Kabaka and are known as Abazaana. This painting honours Abazaana ba Kabaka whose presence symbolised elegance, discipline, and refined beauty. It captures the spirit of grace, tradition, and the timeless charm of those who helped shape the splendour of the Kabaka’s court.
